Michelle Mullins
Ballet Dance Instructor
Michelle Mullins found her passion for dance when she was 2 years old, and it has led her on many adventures since then. Her training and performing background includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary, aerial artist, and acrobatics. After her performing career she found her love for teaching, and igniting the passion to dance in the youngest of performers.
Michelle’s training and love for dance has taken her to Philadelphia to perform in the Thanksgiving parade. She trained with multiple choreographers including Brain Freidman in NYC. She also received a scholarship to attend the Governor’s School of the Arts in Kentucky for ballet and modern. After high school she continued her dance education at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. There she studied jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary, and musical theater. She performed in the annual Faculty Dance Concerts, and pieces set by guest choreographer Doug Varone. She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree, and began her travels around the world.
Michelle joined Celebrity Cruises as a dancer/aerialist. She performed in the main dance shows, theme nights, and in the air on the trapeze, silks, and lyra. She performed on four different ships within the fleet, and was in the inaugural cast of their brand new ship at the time. After performing around the world she found herself wanting to bring the joy of dance to others. She has taught movement, ballet, tap, acrobatics, and gymnastics to ages 1-6 years old. She choreographed solos and team dances for competitions earning high score awards and medals for their performance. She has attended Rhee Gold IDEA teacher training for their early childhood dance program. Michelle hopes to create the spark of imagination and creativity in our youngest of dancers.
